My daughter was born on September 16, 2015. Our Nurses were wonderful and took great care of both of us. The nurse who took care of us in the post-op recovery room came to check on us the next day. Thank you to the nurse named Paula for being the sweetest, most amazing nurse I've ever had.
Have experienced some of the most ill-thorough and condescending doctors here. There are very helpful people here also but they are a dime a dozen. They care more about getting you in and out more than your wellbeing. This is a hospital, not a fast food restaurant.
If I could give a zero I would. This place isnt a hospital. My daughter went in in labor, her husband was locked out of the room. She was given nothing for pain. The staff was rude as hell. Jacob missed the birth of his only child. Do not go to that dump.
Aug. 8, 2017 I was rushed to Hamilton Medical at 3 am with severe pain that turned out to be kidney stones. The attendants in the ER were amazing. They had me quite comfortable as quickly as they could and we're very attentive and concerned. I tried to pass stone on my own (my choice and against their better advice)only to return the next morning in very serious shape. I required a stint and by then had passed the stone and all the infection that had been held up in my kidney had filled my blood stream with poison. I ended up in MICU and with a lot of testing and care they brought my heart rate of 40 and my blood pressure of 64/40 back up to normal and saved my life. I was in the hospital total of 5 days and the nurses who took care of me could not have been more kind and truly caring. Especially one by the name of Allie. She was not far enough along in her medical career to be able to disperse medicines but when I was in some of my worse pain she ran and got packages of wipes and heated them and made a makeshift heating pad. (FYI you now need a doctor's order to get a heating pad, stupid huh). That sweet child said she was nothing special, she just cares. She stopped my chilling which was causing a lot of my pain when morphine wasn't working. That act of thoughtfulness meant so much to me I hugged her a cried. I highly recommend Hamilton Medical any day of the week and twice on Sunday.
I went to this hospital April of 2016 because my son was hurting whenever he tried to eat and was drooling non stop. After being there for 4-5 hours they only tested my son for strep thoat. They had no concern for him at all, I had to keep asking when he would be seen, and when he was seen, I had to ask about his test results. Long story short they said he may have a cold. Well I knew that wasn't it so I had to take him to his doctor the next day, Once I got there she knew something wasn't right so she sent him to T.C Thompson who showed a whole lot more concern and listen to what I had to tell them about my son. Come to find out he had a quarter size watch battery stuck in his throat, and being that it had being in his chest for over 10-24 hours they wouldn't get it out because they didn't have a pediatricin heart surgeon there in case the battery ate through to his aorta, so my son was flown to Nashville. Had I listen to these people and not gone with my motherly instinct my son would have died. I would Never Take Anyone that I know to this hospital!
